Due to an oversight, and indeed an overhang, from a particularly heavy Christmas Tree branch, the wondrous 40th Birthday cookbook lay undiscovered for some weeks - it really was a big tree - until Christmas. I've since, not only read through with delight, but actually cooked a couple of things from it - can't say which (both excellent). It's a fantastic, generous, practical and utterly fascinating gift. It now lives in my kitchen next to Delia, Nigella, Nigel, Gary, Elizabeth etc. Thank-you for the trouble everyone took, for the detail in the recipes, and for the marvellous tastes and smells. It is most appreciated and will be very well used - thank-you one and all. Ken Branagh
